original article from CIRS
Scheduled on 23 April 2015, CIRS is going to hold a Free Training Seminar on TCSCA and K-REACH at Hangzhou, China.
Background of TCSCA and K-REACH
Taiwan TCSCA
On 11 December 2014, Taiwan has officially implemented the revised TCSCA. Early on 22 November 2013, the revised TCSCA has passed the Taiwan Legislative Yuan, and was published in the Presidential Decree on 11 December 2013. The revised TCSCA has the similar model as EU REACH, which requires the existing chemical substance registration for the existed chemicals with certain amount of importation or manufacture and the new chemical substance notification for the new chemicals before importation or manufacture. On 1 September 2015, the phase 1 registration will officially start.
Korea K-REACH
January 2015. It has the similar model as EU REACH in the processes of registration, evaluation, exemption for existing chemicals and new chemicals manufactured or imported in Korea. After the implementation of K-REACH, enterprises with more than 1 ton per year in the amount of the chemical substances manufactured or imported into Korea shall finish the existing substance registration before manufacturing or importation. For new chemical substances, there is no amount requirement but the new chemical substances notification is mandatory. The first batch of existing chemical substance inventory is expected to be published in June 2015.
In order to help enterprises comply with both regulations, CIRS is going to carry out this free training seminar to share our experience and expertise with all the attendees.
