Chemical Registration Centre(CRC) of China MEP Publishes Software for Submitting Scientific Research Record Applications Online.
28 March 2012, Chemical Registration Centre of China MEP has released new software for companies to submit scientific research record applications online. From 1 May 2012, CRC will no longer accept applications submitted by email. During transitional period, companies can either submit scientific research record applications online or by email.

In China, companies need to submit scientific research record applications for new chemical substances used for scientific research purpose with an annual quantity lower than 0.1 ton or new substances to be imported to China for testing.
The difference between Scientific Research Record and other two types of notification is that for the former the related activities could be started once the notification form is submitted and for the latter related activities (manufacturing or importation) can only be started after the applicant receives the registration certificate issued by CRC.
