China MEP Requires Registrants to Submit New Chemical Substance Annual Report of Year 2017

On 21 December 2017, China Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Center under Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEPSCC) announces that the online system for new chemical substance annual report will be opened from 1 January 2018. Registrants of simplified notification and hazardous new chemical substances (including hazardous new chemical substances under priority environmental administration) should report the manufacturing or import status of the year 2017 before 1 February 2018 through this system.

In accordance with the requirements of Provisions on Environmental Administration of New Chemical Substance Notification in China (MEP Decree No.7), registrants of simplified notification and hazardous new chemical substances (including hazardous new chemical substances under priority environmental administration) should submit an annual report concerning the actual manufacturing or import status of last year before 1 February each year.

Relevant registrants should be aware that only electronic documents submitted through the online system will be accepted.
