Backgrounds

To solve the overlap and contradiction between certain national standards set by different departments, the Ministry of Health (MoH) started to reclassify and reregulate the standards in 2009. By August 2013, there were still 4911 national standards needed to be reorganized, which include 491 standards regarding food additives, 3286 standards regarding test methods, 628 product standards and other standards.
