2011 Shanghai Chem Summit

The Shanghai Chem Summit 2011, organised by CIRS, KTR and JEMAI, was successfully held in Shanghai on 3-4 Nov 2011. More than 190 delegates from chemical industry (including BASF, DuPont, Bayer, DSM, Sasol, Huntsman, Lanxess, Honeywell, and Chemical Watch etc) have attended this summit.

Main Reasons For Failed New Chemical Substance Notifications

Mr Chunxin Liu, associate professor from CRC-MEP of China, is giving a presentation about the implementation of revised Provisions on the Environmental Administration of New Chemical Substances in China. He has outlined main casues for failed new chemical substance notifications in China.

"Korea REACH"

Mr.Samrae Cho, the director of Korea Chemicals Management Association (KCMA) is talking about the latest updates regarding the draft Act on Registration and Evaluation of Chemical substance in South Korea ("Korea REACH"). Mr. Samrae mentioned that raising tonnage limit from 0.5t/y to 1t/y is seriously being considered.
